SLSA Wales has announced the 24 athletes selected to represent Wales at the 2026 Celtic Cup, with four teams set to fly the Welsh flag at this year’s Celtic Cup competition.
The selected athletes will compete across the Youth Male, Youth Female, Open Male and Open Female categories, with the Celtic Cup scheduled for Saturday, 12 September 2026.

The selection continues a long tradition of Welsh representation in surf lifesaving competition. There is plenty of experience among the squad too, with several athletes having previously represented Wales. Ellie McCloy, Evie Wong, Jason Grice, Tomas Rees and Will James, for example, have all appeared in previous Welsh teams, highlighting the blend of established international experience and emerging talent within the 2026 selection.
The Welsh team will be looking to make their mark when the Celtic Cup comes to Saunton Sands on Saturday, 12 September.
With 24 athletes representing Cymru across four categories, supporters can expect a full day of high-level surf lifesaving competition as Wales takes on the challenge of the Celtic Cup.
