ILS have now recognised the new National Vocational Beach Lifeguard Qualification (NVBLQ). All ready in Wales this year, candidates have successfully passed this award, which is also recognised by the RNLI and the UK National Water Safety Council. ILS have advised us that the new -unified- Beach Lifeguard award has been endorsed by the ILS Education Committee.
The adapted equivalency tables for SLS GB and RLSS UK will soon be published on the ILS website (http://www.ilsf.org/certification/equivalency-tables) Congratulations for this unified effort in water safety, well done! Best regards, Karin Karin Obus Executive Director ILS Headquarters
