Anglesey Leisure Services have had the go ahead to run the RNLI Swim Safe sessions over the summer.
They are inviting a number of junior schools to take part in the three day event, Monday 24, Tuesday 25 and Wednesday 26 June, on Treaddur Bay beach, making use of beach cabins and changing room facilities.
They have half a day’s activities to offer each school at a time, Swim Safe and Gecko SUP, with groups moving from one session to the other. They would like to open up the day and hoped that SLSA Wales will be able to help them with this.
What they are looking for, from us, is to run nipper type beach and sea activities in 45 minute sessions during the afternoon period. This is something that we would like to support, but we realise the difficulties of recruiting volunteers during the working week.
Can you help
We are therefore looking for 4 nipper coaches, ideally a mix of male and female, to travel up to Anglesey for 4 days to support this. The cost of this, will of course be covered by SLSA Wales.
If you would like to be involved, or require further information, please contact Phil Rees at:
