Only athletes who are a member of SLSA Wales & either born in Wales or have Welsh heritage are eligible for selection. Competitors must be in good standing with SLSA Wales and available for competition on 10th August 2019. The Welsh team will be selected based on the best athletes available and are selected based on attendance and performance at the ranking events.

The 2019 Welsh Senior Team will consist of 6 Male and 6 female athletes. Open Team ages 16+ (born in 2003 and earlier)

The 2019 Welsh Youth Team will consist of 6 Male and 6 female athletes. Youth Team ages 15 to 18 (born in 2004/03/02/01)

For both ranking events the youth and open will enter each event as one group and the team managers will pick the competitor for either the youth or open team to obtain the best team possible. For beach sprints the youth will run in their own age group up to the last 8, the open will run for the same then the ages will be combined to run a semi and then a final.

Ranking Event 1 - 26th May 2019 – Porthcawl – 11am Registration.
Events to be contested:
2 x Sprints, 2 x flags, 1 x Swim, 1 x board, 1 x ski and 1 x oceanman /oceanwomen.

Ranking Event 2 - 2nd June 2019 – Rest Bay – 11am Registration.
Events to be contested:
1 x Sprints, 1 x flags, 2 x Swim, 2 x board, 2 x ski and 1 x oceanman /oceanwomen.
