News

With immediate effect, the GB Nipper Pool Championships to be held on the 28th/29th March, the Youth Pool Championships to be held on 18th April and the Open and Masters Pool Championships to be held on 19th April are all postponed.

Whilst this decision may cause some understandable disappointment, it has been taken due to the current uncertainty surrounding developments over the spread of COVID-19 and the unnecessary health risks that our members and their families could have been exposed to. We are also mindful that the timing of this decision may help with recovery of committed participant accommodation costs.

Fortunately, we have been able to secure firm pool dates to re-schedule the events later in the year at Cardiff when hopefully the COVID-19 risk will have reduced

Nipper 24th/25th October
Youth 7th November
Open and Masters 8th November

The only immediate implication will be for any Athlete seeking GBR One Team Selection by recording a time at an April event. We will discuss this with the One Team Advisory Group and amend the selection criteria and advise those athletes who are involved accordingly.
