News

In line with the Welsh Government guidelines, clubs are now able to increase their outdoor training to a maximum of 50 people and indoor training to 30. This applies to both those under and over 18. Clubs will also need to ensure that they follow the appropriate safety ratios as set out in the SLSA Wales safety policy.

People who count towards the numbers:

1. Participants of the activity.

2. Coaches

People who do not count towards the number:

3. Anybody who is there to organise or support the activity. This could include water safety cover, IRB crews, COVID officers, attendance takers, COVID Marshalls etc. These people should always maintain a 2m social distance at all times and not take an active role in the training/activity, otherwise, they will count.

Simultaneous gatherings of groups in the same location are allowed, where there is sufficient space to do so safely and all groups can act independently. This should only be considered where space is sufficient to allow 100sqft per person on land.
Staggered start times for each group should be used to facilitate this. Those 18 and over can also take part in the same activity as those under 18 as long as the max numbers are not exceeded.

It is also the Welsh Government plan to increase this number to 100 per outdoor activity around June 7th. Should this be confirmed clubs may up their numbers but again safety ratios take priority.
